South Pacific

KJ was recently in a school musical. It was South Pacific. He played the lead male character, Emile de Becque.
Here is a small snippet of video from the musical. The video is really really bad. Not sure why that happened but the audio is ok. You'll just have to trust me that it is really KJ standing center stage all by himself singing a girly song. Yeah, it was weird for me too. But, I have to admit he did AWESOME and I couldn't be any prouder than I am. I wish all of you could have been there to see it.

I would have thought Mr.GuadSpot would have found this long before me.
Anyway, here is the ultimate 'geek' gift for your favorite Bare Nake Ladies fan.

Apples and Oranges

Sometimes people do things that just don't make a whole lot of sense.
Apple has 100's of retail stores around the country and they are doing very well. In fact they just recently opened a new store on 5th avenue in NYC. It's open 24 hours. So, if at 3am you just have to have an iMac or an iPod nano you can get it by going to the Apple store.

Now Dellthinks they're going to gain the same success as Apple by opening their own retail stores.

First thing that doesn't make sense is that there is no way in hell Dell is going to see "Dell fanboys line up for free t-shirts and rabid fandom." That just isn't going to happen. I really hope Dell can see that.
Second thing that doesn't make sense, and this is a doozy, is that the Dell stores, wait for it, are you ready?, carry NO INVENTORY. Phhhhht. They are counting on people to walk into their retail store in XYZ mall and see their 'cool' products and decide they want one and then, wait for it, sit in front of a monitor and order it from their online store for delivery.
Yeah, right.

Nike+iPod=kewl

Those who know me know that I love absolutely LOVE new technology. So, when I see something that is cool, even if I won't neccessarily use it myself I want to talk about it and let people know.

Apple teamed up with Nike today to introduce a new line of shoes that will 'talk' to your iPod. Sound weird? I thought so too until I watched the video . Check it out!

Da Vinci Debunked

***Spoilers***
If you've read the DaVinci Code and especially if you've seen the movie then you might be interested in this article . Put together by the people at "How Stuff Works" it looks at the science and fact of items and events surrounding the DaVinci Code story.
I think most of us realize it was meant to be fiction and after all the research into the 'fictional' claims in the story we can safely say it is just that, 'fiction'.
I enjoyed reading the book and I enjoyed the film. It wasn't great and it wasn't thrilling. Nevertheless it was entertaining and it was a pretty good adaptation of the book although not perfect.
I can now say that I definitely liked the film 'National Treasure' much much better.

A Penny for your thoughts

Pennies now cost more than a penny to make. Nickels cost more than a nickel. This could be another line in Alanis Morissette's song 'isn't it ironic'.
Don't you think?

Dump Creative

I HATE people that do business this way. Creative Labs, maker of 'also ran' MP3 players that currently hold single digit percentage in the worldwide MP3 player market, has sued Apple for patent infringement. Apple's iPod currently has 72% of the world MP3 player market.
They claim Apple stole "a navigation system and method for organizing and accessing music on portable players." Wha? Have you seen the iPod's navigation system? Why on God's green earth would there even be a patent issued for this? It is so basic it makes you wonder if someone could patent the process for picking your nose!
Now, I don't know the details and I certainly don't know what is the bottom line truth in this case but this smacks of sour grapes. I mean come on, 4 years after Apple releases the iPod and over a year after Creative was awarded a patent they decide to sue Apple. Something smells fishy. Their filing claims that Apple should be forced to stop selling the iPod until the case can be decided. That demand right there is ludicrous, ridiculous and many other 'ous' words I can't think of right now. When a company makes a claim like that my BS flag goes up really quick.
So, if you are one of the suckers out there that actually owns a creative MP3 player, dump it. Don't reward these nuts for tying up our court system with stupid claims. Don't reward them for their desperate attempt to gain some press and gain a few percentage points of market share. Instead, reward yourself with the best product on the market. The iPod. You won't regret it.

Hilarious

If you haven't been seeing the new Apple ads on TV then you really need to go HERE and check them out. They are very well done and a couple of them are absolutely hilarious. Of course you'll only laugh if your a Machead. PC people just plain old won't get em.
My fav is the 'RESTARTING' ad. Priceless, just priceless.
