Something in a name

Is it just me, or does anyone else find the name of this organization funny?
Maybe instead of UPEA, Utah Public Employees Association, they should have gone with,
PEU, Public Employees of Utah. Or, APEU, Associated Public Employees of Utah. Or, they could skip the 'E' part and just go with, PU. I mean really, how do they expect the citizens of Utah to take them seriously. I'm tempted to call them just to hear the receptionist, "Good Morning, UPEA." I can't stop laughing, I really can't.

Puhhhhlease!

Ok you lazy sleepers. This product comes from the labs of "people with way too much time on their hands".
An alarm clock that runs away from you after it goes off. The idea is if you have to get up and chase the darn thing down you might be awake enough to not go back to sleep. Check out the details.

LDS Teens

A recent study about religion among the youth of America is very enlightening.
Check out this article for a little more info.
Not surprisingly, at least to me, LDS teens rank no.1 in the effect religion has on their lives. To be honest I have never personally thought anyone would not mention their religious beliefs as having a great effect on their life. You learn something new every day.

peace out

Click the pic below and watch, listen and learn.
I'll let it speak for itself, not much more you can say after this.

E S R Bad!!!

Yeah, the ESRB has done it again!
They have added yet another game rating to confuse parents. Look at this icon. Pretty soon these ratings icons are going to start looking like this:

Sheesh! Enough already! Oh, and you have to love the nomenclature. E10+. Or is that e=mc2? Maybe our kids should be studying more of their algebra and science homework and not playing so many dang games! Hello!!!!

Nerd Knight

Bill Gates was knighted today. Yes, by the Queen of England herself. No, you can't call him 'Sir' cuz he aint a real Brit, but you can call him Bill Gates KBE. It sounds a little bit techy doesn't it? Like something you might hear a Microsoftie say. MSFT is famous for their multiple letter acronyms. Kind of ironic that Bill now has a permanent one appended to his name. I could come up with dozens of jokes on this but dang it's late and I really don't care.
So, the lesson here is to teach your kids that even if they are the king of the Nerds they too can get funny letters appended to their names.
