Moving Words

I saw this video today and was entranced by it. FLICKRMOOD. An experiment in motion typography. I have done some type/video stuff before of course not even close to this level. Yike Bike!

This is pretty cool. It's an electric bicycle and it folds into a bag that you can take with you to your office or on public transportation very easily. It's called the Yike Bike. It goes approx. 12 miles per hour which is plenty, it charges to 80% in 20 minutes, it takes 15 seconds to fold up, it weighs 22 pounds and it's range is 6 miles. The range may be a bit of a problem and it looks like it would take a little getting used to riding the thing. Watch the video and see how they compare to a normal bicycle. This has a lot of potential. Oh, it costs about $5k so for now it is not cheap, but I'm sure if it catches on it will come down significantly in price. Keep an eye on this one.
