A Penny for your thoughts
Pennies now cost more than a penny to make. Nickels cost more than a nickel. This could be another line in Alanis Morissette's song 'isn't it ironic'.

Interesting article. Makes sense. People don't pay with pennies. People don't throw pennies away. So what happens to them? They get put in drawers.
