Happy Civil Rights Day

Happy Civil Rights Day to everyone!
Just once on this day and subsequent days make a specific effort to be civil to someone. And, try not to include sarcasm or 'political correctness'. Be 'real', be 'yourself'. We have become a world where everyone is afraid to say what they feel and think, afraid to be themselves. We have become a world of 'fake' people afraid to offend or upset or step on toes. If you are a good person with good intentions then you shouldn't be afraid of these things. Will they still happen? Sure. With the diversity of personalities and backgrounds in this grand world it cannot be avoided. Your ideals will almost certainly clash with someone else at some point. The trick is to be 'civil' and genuine. If you detect that you have offended someone. Own up to it. Apologize and start a dialog with that person on what offended. Maybe you can learn about them and become a better person and maybe just maybe you can make a friend instead of an enemy. Would it to be so I dare say our world would be much much better than it is.
Be civil.
