What's in a word?

I had never thought about this issue before, but the actual results you get while searching on certain words on internet search engines can be, well, a little freaky.
The latest controversy on this topic is on Google where if you search on the term, 'Jew' you will get some, let's say, not so nice results. Snaps to Google and their explanation of this phenomenon. Although, now that I think about it, with all of the great technology we have available to us can't we get past these types of things?
