I Live in Hell

My commute is normally 15 minutes. About 13 miles. Half of which is on a major interstate. I get on the freeway and exit at the very next exit. Today was a little different. 1.5 hours later I rolled into the parking lot at work. I don't think I ever got over 5mph the whole trip. I saw at least 3 people zoom past me at a much faster rate and then later saw ALL THREE off the side of the freeway facing the wrong direction. Oh yah, it was fun ;)

It's not Hell at all. It's what we like to call FFT (Freakin' Frozen Tundra). I commuted up and over the point for many years. Now I usually go South to work each day. At least you're safe and sound. Count your blessings.

It's a beautiful white winter wonderland! You're lucky to live in such dramatic weather... it's like a movie! If I were you, I would have exited my car and just starting building snow men with big happy faces!! Before you know it, it will all be gone and you'll be sorry you didn't appreciate it more. Next time, try rolling down your window and striking up a conversation with the car occupants next to you. What a wonderful opportunity to make connections with your fellow travelers!

So tomorrow morning, grab your mittens, fill your mug to the brim with some hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, plug in some wintery tunes, and make some human connections along way!

Warmest regards.

Mike
