All about garbage

Here is something cool. Practical and energy efficient. Someone was really thinking when they thought this up.
It's a self powered compacting trash can for public areas. It can hold 150 gallons of trash. It is solar powered. Sweet.
Boston City just installed 43 of them to try them out. According to the mayor of Boston their public trash cans needed to be emptied up to 15 times a day. With this 'Big Belly' technology. that can be reduced to once a day. Oh, and did I mention it's self powered? Cool. Check it out HERE.
