Dear Ndugu:

A lot has happened since the last time I wrote. It is an important time in my country right now. It is an election year and we are electing a new president of our country. I don't know if you do this in your country. I don't know much about what goes on in Africa. I imagine you are sitting under a tree on the serengeti watching lions take down gazelles. Hmmm, maybe things aren't that different here than they are there. Our President said something yesterday and his opponents jumped all over him. Just like a lion taking down a gazelle. The only thing missing was the blood.
